Jack Draper, the British No. 1, delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Qatar ExxonMobil Open, advancing to the final and achieving a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 12. In the final, Draper faced Russia's Andrey Rublev, a former champion of the tournament. Despite a valiant effort, Draper was defeated in a three-set match in favour of Rublev.
Throughout the tournament, Draper showcased remarkable resilience. In the semifinals, he overcame a first-set loss to defeat Jiri Lehecka, securing his spot in the final.
This performance not only demonstrated Draper's tenacity but also propelled him to his highest ATP ranking to date. He climbed four spots to World No. 12, positioning himself just five points behind Stefanos Tsitsipas, who holds the 11th spot.
Draper's journey to the final included notable victories, such as his straight-sets win over Alexei Popyrin in the opening round, marking a strong return after a month-long injury hiatus.
His performance in Doha reflects his growing prominence on the ATP Tour and suggests a promising trajectory towards breaking into the top 10 rankings.
