Jenson Brooksby Takes Title in Houston

Jenson Brooksby wins his first ATP title at the U.S. Men's Clay Court Championship in Houston after entering the tournament as a wild card in the qualifying rounds. The final saw him head-to-head with second seed and defending 2023 Houston champion Frances Tiafoe who he led a dramatic run against to secure a 6-4, 6-2 victory.

"Thank you to my team. All the way from qualifying, match point down," Brooksby said during the trophy ceremony. "That's pretty intense, so thanks for sticking with it, every match, every day here for me."

With two surgeries, Brooksby has been away from the court for almost 18 months before returning to action. His form has steadily improved and he is now showing signs of returning to his best form which see him push to be in the top 30 in the world.

This will be a big year for Jenson Brooksby.
