Yui Kamiji Wins Wheelchair Singles at AO

Team Dunlop’s World No.1 Yui Kamiji defeated Aniek van Koot in an exciting final to win the women's singles wheelchair tennis title at the 2025 Australian Open. It was her third Australian Open singles title and ninth Grand Slam singles title overall.

Demonstrating just why she is one of the most dominant players in wheelchair tennis, Kamiji showcased her control and skill on court as she denied Van Koot a single service game. With this latest title, Kamiji continues to build on her already legendary career, and it’s clear that her hunger for success remains as strong as ever.

Kamiji's victory was also a celebration of the growing prominence of wheelchair tennis at major Grand Slam events. As a role model for many young athletes in the wheelchair tennis community, her success at the Australian Open not only further solidifies her place in history but also inspires others to follow in her footsteps.
