Dunlop has today announced 22-year-old ATP Tour player, Michael Mmoh, has chosen the SX 300 frame as his racket of choice, after an exciting playtesting process. The American is using the SX 300 as he trains at IMG Academy in anticipation of the upcoming U.S. Open.
“We’ve worked very closely with Michael over the past few months, and we’re happy to report that he’s beyond satisfied with his SX 300; he feels like it will actively help his game as he climbs the rankings,” said Masahiro Asahino, Head of Tennis Division for SRI. “Testing rackets is a process with all players. In Michael’s case, he was interested in finding a frame that could make his most powerful shot, his forehand, more consistent. The SX 300 generates just enough spin to keep those forehands consistent. We’re all looking forward to seeing him in action with the SX 300 later this month.”
“Tennis is about improving, every single day,” said Mmoh. “I firmly believe part of that improvement can come from your equipment. You need to use a racket that not only suits your game, but improves your game. I felt that with the SX 300. I have been testing and training with some of the best players in the world at IMG and had great results. Now I look forward to getting back out there to wield it against tournament competition.”
Mmoh had a stellar junior career. He reached #2 in the Boys ITF Junior rankings in 2015 and won the U18s Boys National Championship in Kalamazoo. On the ATP Tour he has secured wins over Roberto Bautista Agut and Mischa Zverev in the past two years. He currently rests at 182 in the world.
