Dunlop will remain the official ball of the Hamburg European Open until 2023. The long-established company with its German headquarters in Hanau agreed with the Rothenbaum tournament on a further two-year cooperation. Dunlop will also remain the stringing partner of Germany’s largest and oldest tennis tournament and will also have its own stand in the Public Village in 2022 and 2023. The Hamburg European Open 2022 will take place this summer from 16 to 24 July for the first time since 1978 as a “combined event”. Dunlop has already been providing the official match ball at the clay court classic in the Hanseatic city since 2020.

“We are delighted to remain the official match ball of the Hamburg European Open at Rothenbaum for the next two years. With the women’s and men’s tournament being held in parallel, the event at Rothenbaum will be taken to a new level. As the ball brand with the largest presence at ATP and WTA tournaments, we are consolidating our market position with Hamburg,” said Frank Binder, Dunlop’s Marketing Manager Europe.

Tournament Director Sandra Reichel emphasised: “Dunlop is an important partner of ours and it is a strong sign for the Hamburg European Open brand that Dunlop has immediately extended its partnership for two years.” Sandra Reichel is also very pleased that Dunlop will generously provide equipment for the side events such as Kidstennis activities and the three Inclusion Days (21-23 July): “Important topics such as children, families and inclusion are as close to Dunlop’s heart as they are to ours.”
