It was a sibling duel between Nele Gilis and Team Dunlop’s Tinne Gilis for the title of Annecy Rose Open, with the Team Dunlop star and younger of the two Belgians outlasting the World No.12 to win her first pro title.

Although Tinne had never beaten her elder sister, she was in, arguably, better form after reaching the quarter finals of the Allam British Open earlier this month.

As she sought to achieve her first win over Nele on the PSA World Tour, Tinne clearly took control of the first two games, winning the first and second relatively comfortably 11-6, 11-6.

It wasn’t all plain sailing though as a much more close game ensued in the third and the game lasted almost half an hour. However, Tinne was able to come through it to take it 13-11.

Tinne won the match 11-6, 11-6, 13-11 to pick up the biggest title of her career so far.
