Dunlop’s Yui Kamiji and Marjolein Buis have been crowned the women’s wheelchair doubles titles at the Australian Open. They defeated Dutch duo of Diede de Groot and fellow Team Dunlop player Aniek Van Koot in the final.

The pair were top seeds for the tournament and lived up to the hype, winning 6-0 6-4 in just 1 hour and 22 minutes.

“Together with Buis, we were able to play winning tennis,” Kamiji said. “Because of her gutsy play, I had a lot of balls to hit for winners.”

This is Kamiji’s fourth doubles title at the Australian Open as she returns to winning ways having lost in last year’s finals. It is Buis’ second Australian Open title, her previous win coming in 2016 when she also partnered Yui Kamiji.
