Luksika Kumkhum has captured her first WTA title at the Mumbai Open. She defeated the Russian Irina Khromacheva in three sets (1-6, 6-2, 6-3)

Having recovered from going a set down to take the second set, Kumkhum was in full swing by the third set, racing into a 4-1 lead and then finally winning that match with a backhand that kindly fell over the net chord.

It is Kumkum’s biggest win of her career and caps off a fantastic year for the Thia player who has now moved up to a career high 80.

Kumkhum won the tournament with the help of her brand new racket, the Dunlop CX 200. The CX 200 will be available for January 1st and will hopefully see Kumkhum pick up many more titles in the future.
